Diego graduated in Law at the State University of Milan.
After being awarded the title of Lawyer at the Milan Court of Appeal, he began his professional career at the service of companies working in the non-performing bank loans sector, providing legal advice, managing projects and resources, valuing portfolios and assisting with securitisations.
He worked for leading companies such as SGC-Archon Group Italia S.r.l. (Goldman Sachs group), Pirelli Credit Servicing S.p.A., Guber S.p.A., Frontis NPL S.p.A. and Prelios Credit Solutions S.p.A., gaining three years’ experience (2005-2008) as Head of the Credit Monitoring and Disputes Department of Meliorbanca S.p.A. (which is now part of the BPER group), where he first encountered the world of bad and doubtful debts (now known as Unlikely-to-Pay exposures or UTPs).
His career moved in a definitive direction towards UTPs in 2017, when he managed one of the first block sales of UTP bank loans.
Backed by twenty years of experience, at the beginning of 2021 he took on a new professional challenge by joining neprix as part of the UTP Management team, with the aim of contributing to the growth of an innovative and stimulating company.
Diego loves skiing, Formula 1 racing and good wine.
He is married to Barbara and has two daughters, Ludovica and Beatrice.
